Have you lost touch with your roommate from Hamill or Kirby? Wonder what happened to that lab partner or teammate? Are you curious about whether students still play Frisbee in the Bowl and sunbathe in the Circle? If you find yourself reminiscing about the “Lawrenceville experience,” it must be time to come back for Alumni Weekend.
Lawrentians are invited to come “Back to Class” with Regan Kerney H’49 ’95 ’98 ’03 ’11 and other Lawrenceville masters, cheer on Big Red athletics, attend the Alumni Artist Reception, and much more during Alumni Weekend 2018, May 4 to 6. Of course no Alumni Weekend would be complete without traditions like the Service of Remembrance, the Alumni Association Induction Ceremony and Grand March, Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Red and Black Soiree and Class dinners.
Special events this year include “Lawrenceville Today,” a presentation on the state of the School by Head Master Stephen S. Murray H’ 55 ’65 ’16 P’16 ’21; “Periwig’s Favorite Playwrights,” an Archives exhibit commemorating Periwig’s 125th anniversary season; and presentation of the Masters Awards (see related article). In addition, affinity groups can look forward to a special gathering, plus receptions for LGBTQ, Black, and performing arts alumni.
The list of events includes something for everyone as we gather to celebrate the Classes of 1943, 1948, 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2013. From the annual John Cleve Green Luncheon on Friday, May 4, to the Farewell Brunch on Sunday, May 6, all the details for Alumni Weekend 2018 can be found here.
Alumni Weekend is a chance to catch up with old friends, expand your personal and professional network, and learn more about life on campus today. It’s also a great opportunity to reconnect with beloved current and former faculty.
